An enormous thank you to all the volunteers who helped out during the three Helmet Day fundraisers we had this year for Bikers for Babies/March of Dimes.  Also a huge thank you to everyone that had service work performed at Chariots of Fire.  Between the fundraisers and a portion of all labor charges performed since January of 2008 we were able to give the Bikers for Babies/March of Dimes a check for $5,500!  Thanks to all our customers who joined us that day.  We had over 20 bikes leave the shop that day and were joined up with more along the way and some folks met up with us at Verizon amphitheater.  A good time was had by all! 

Christmas is right around the corner.  I have been doing some Christmas shopping for you of some fun novelty type items we don’t typically carry in the shop such as shot glasses, motorcycle picture frames etc.  If you have a particular item you want to purchase, please come in and do your shopping early.  If we don’t have it, we’ll find it!  Don’t forget we have gift certificates available alsoJ 

November 8 - We are having our 2^nd annual Christmas Poker Run.  Sponsored by us, the Tattooed Lady, & Tri-county ABATE.  Sign-up at Chariots of Fire from 10 to 11 am.  Cost: a Christmas gift for teenage boys (such as DVDs, CDs, socks, T-shirts, sweat pants, caps, toiletries) or $10.  Last bike in at 5pm.  All you can eat chili for $5.00 at the Tattooed Lady, 50/50, raffle drawings, $75 payout for best hand.  All proceeds to go to Camp Avery.  All donations accepted.  Any items that are for younger children or ladies will be donated to Domestic Violence House in Lincoln County. 

November 9 – We will be participating in the Salute To Our Military Veterans indoor motorcycle and hot rod show at Bell-Clair Fairgrounds in Belleville, IL.  Show hours 9am-6pm.  $5 admission children under 12 free.

Consignment bikes in house:  ‘04 Wide Glide $10,000 and ’03 Custom $11,500.  Call for more information. 

We are raffling off Jan’s ’06 custom chopper.  Tickets cost $100 each. No more than 300 raffle tickets will be sold.  A portion of proceeds is going to Bikers for Babies/March of dimes.  Call for more information. 

The Road Kills Dinner Runs have ended.  Thanks to all who shared those delightful Thursday evenings with us.  Our winter hours are Tuesday – Friday 11am-7pm.  Saturday, 10am-3pm.  We will be closed November 27, 28, & 29 for the Thanksgiving weekend. 

As Thanksgiving approaches, we here at Chariots of Fire Customs LLC will keep each and everyone of you on our “Thankful” list.  We have been blessed greatly as our business continues to grow.  We especially remember and are thankful for the time that we were able to share with Sam Wells.  Samuel Henry Wells July 6, 1960 – October 5, 2008 “Remember me with smiles and laughter for that is how I will remember you all”.
